Fantastic Movie Costumes Part 1

Pin It Now!
One of the reasons why a movie can be so unforgettable would be for its costumes and set. Here is a compilation of some of my favorite movies/tv movies/tvseries with unforgettable costumes, dresses and sets in no particular order.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the pictures posted and neither did I take them. I just got them off Google Image Search and would try my best to post the links where they came from.

1. Decadence on Set -Marie Antoinette 2006 starring Kirsten Dunst (with Jamie Dornan - Hunter in Once Upon a Time-my current fave show)

Some Movie Trivia:
LadurĂ©e was chosen by Sofia Coppola to make all of the brightly colored pastries and cakes for the film. -imdb

Long before Imelda Marcos...

Sofia Coppola had Spanish footwear designer Manolo Blahnik create hundreds of specially made shoes for the film. -imdb

Even though the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles was in restoration - until spring 2007 - Sofia Coppola was allowed to film there a ball scene for the wedding of Marie-Antoinette and Louis XVI. -imdb

2. An Epic Gone With The Wind  1939 starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable

I have seen this movie for the first time when I was in grade school and I had never forgotten it. I vowed to re watch it again when I get older in order for me to understand the story. I love the dresses and of course Vivien Leigh was such a beautiful woman and was able to give life to Scarlett O'Hara.

[June 2008] Ranked #4 on the American Film Institute's list of the 10 greatest films in the genre "Epic". -imdb
In 2007, the American Film Institute ranked this as the #6 Greatest Movie of All Time. -imdb

3. Snow White A Tale of Terror   1997 starring Monica Keena and Sigourney Weaver

I have yet to see Kristen Stewart's Snow White and the Huntsman because
I'm not really a big fan of hers but I'm planning to watch soon. I can't find
full picture of the dresses from this movie. This was shot in Czech Republic.
Apart from her acting skills- Sigourney's costume and make-up was just
so excellently done.

4. Anna and the King 1999 staring Jodie Foster and Chow Yun Fat

One of my favorite movies of all time. I love the score and the song" How Can I  Not Love You?". As usual, I was mesmerized by Jodie Foster's acting and the chemistry between her and Chow Yun Fat. Although the movie is a fictionalized version of the real life of Anna and King Mongkut-this movie is still nevertheless enjoyable and moved me into tears.

The movie was banned in Thailand so the movie had to be shot in a different venue- Langkawi Malaysia

5. Ever After starring Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott 1998

The glass slippers were made by Salvatore Ferragamo-imdb
